Any Resemblance?

This is the lace TANK that I knit for KnitPicks and I am quite suprised to see it worn as a vest. It would have been so sexy, don't you think? I really liked knitting this and even though you have to buy a book to get the pattern, I would highly recommend it. The lace pattern is really easy and the eyelets are an interesting design detail.

Still, a good photo.

Your work is lovely! I am ordering the Silk Knits book tonight. I am interested in how you liked knitting the Lace Shell up in the Cotlin. Would you use that yarn again or try it in something else the next time? I am planning to wear it as a summer top, not as a shell to be worn over a long sleeved shirt. It's very warm here in summer. Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks,

I did like knitting it up in Cotlin because it doesn't stretch as much as cotton. It has nice body which I think would make it nice and cool as a tank. I would just say that the colors on the site are not so true. This is a very bright turquoise but does not come across that way on the site. Good luck!

Thanks, Melissa. I'll order the color card for sure. The website at KP says the Cotlin is not available until June 15 or so anyway, so I have time to look the colors over from actual samples. I appreciate the heads-up on that one.
Hope your birthday was nice.
The Spanish Christening Shawl from the Folk Shawls book is lovely. I am inspired to revisit that pattern.

Thanks,

I would not wear it as a vest but as I tank it's adorable.
