Okay, so he's a month old and this big already. How long do you think he'll be able to wear this?? That's okay, there's bigger ones on the way.
Musings on the art of knitting, spinning, enjoying a cup of tea and noticing the way nature inspires design. (Life with a little dog in Portland, Oregon)
I started working on a baby sweater in the new book, by Fiona Ellis, Inspiring Cable Knits.
This sweater is almost done. I've designed it as I've gone along. True to my nature, the neckline is to high for a baby and so I've got to machine sew it bigger, trim and re-crochet the edge. Ah, it's all in a day's work...
So, I guess I'm more into posting pictures right now than writing, but we had a great time last weekend. The five of us from our group travelled to the shore (first time Oregon shore for two of us) and had a blast. Lovely house. Lovely company. Tried to get some drop spindle spinning in, but that didn't really happen. In the two days we had, we were more interested in eating and knitting, I think.
Another patterns from nature post. Just wanted to check in and actually write something to get myself started up again. Spring is coming to Portland and I'm enjoying the unfolding here for the first time, as I moved in High Spring last year.
